Information

TitleDovetail Trailers or Beavertail Trailers
Part Detailed Description

DOVETAIL (or Beavertail) refers to the trailers deck design. Usually the last few feet of the rear end is sloped down to decrease the clearance needed for "low to the ground" rolling of equipment or vehicles on to trailer.  Common Lengths are 2 foot and 4 foot.  The most common application for a Dovetail Trailer are heavy equipment or car hauler trailers but it can be an option for enclosed cargo trailers as well.  On cargo trailer applications, please look for the sloped floor (pictured below, 4 Foot) to identify and value.  Pricing for 2 and 4 foot Dovetail upgrades are on the Trailer Aftermarket Price Sheet.
