Procedure

Single User

  1. Close Glassmate.
  2. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Mitchell\Glassmate\DB.
  3. Locate and right-click gm_invce.mdb and select Copy.
  4. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the folder where you would like to create a copy of the database.
  5. Right click in an empty area of the folder and click Paste.
  6. The gm_invce.mdb file will now be backed up to that location.

Multi-user

  1. Close Glassmate on all workstations and on the server.
  2. On the server, at the Run dialog box (accessed with WindowsKey+R) enter services.msc.
  3. Locate and select the service named SQL Server (GLASSMATE). Depending on the Glassmate installation, this may have a different name such as (GM4) or (GM6).
  4. On the left, click Stop.
  5. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Mitchell\Glassmate\DB.
  6. Locate and right-click the GM_Nags.mdf and GM_Nags.ldf files and select Copy.
  7. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the folder where you would like to create a copy of the database.
  8. Right click in an empty area of the folder and click Paste.
  9. The GM_Nags.mdf and GM_Nags.ldf files will now be backed up to that location.
  10. In the Services console, click Start to start the SQL Server service for Glassmate.
