Procedure

System Profiles consist of Tax and Labor Rates, Refinish and Paint Materials calculations, Custom Messages, Alternate Parts Search, and Total Loss settings.

Please select the scenario below that best fits your situation and follow the steps to create or modify the system profile(s).

To Create a New System Profile(s):

  1. Close all estimates. 
  2. Click Setting Icon at bottom of WCAP.
  3. On the Left Nav Select Estimate Rates.
  4. Click on icon for View Estimating Profiles.
  5. Click New.
  6. Type a name for the profile when prompted. Click OK.
  7. Enter the appropriate information for the new profile.
  8. In the upper right Click Save.
  9. Select Back to Settings.

To Modify a System Profile(s):

  1. Close all estimates. 
  2. Click Setting Icon at bottom of WCAP.
  3. On the Left Nav Select Estimate Rates.
  4. Click on icon for View Estimating Profiles.
  5. Click the profile to modify, click Modify.
  6. Make the appropriate changes to the profile.
  7. In the upper right Click Save.
  8. Select Back to Settings.

To Create a New System Profile by Copying an Existing one:

  1. Close all estimates. 
  2. Click Setting Icon at bottom of WCAP.
  3. On the Left Nav Select Estimate Rates.
  4. Click on icon for View Estimating Profiles
  5. Click Copy.
  6. The Copy a System profile window will display.
  7. Type the name of the profile in the New Profile Name field then click OK.
  8. Enter the appropriate information for the new profile.
  9. In the upper right Click Save.
  10. Select Back to Settings.

To Modify a Profile for the Existing Estimate:

  1. In the open estimate.
  2. In the left Nav Click on Repair Lines, Click Estimate Profiles.
  3. Enter the appropriate information for the profile.
  4. Select the Repair Lines to Return to the estimate..

To Apply a New Profile to an Estimate:

  1. In the open estimate.
  2. In the left Nav Click on Repair Lines, Click Estimate Profiles.
  3. Click the Copy a System Profile field and select the required profile.
  4. Click OK to the message, The current profile 'Profile name' may have been chosen based on established business rules. Are you sure you want to change it?'
  5. Select the Repair Lines to Return to the estimate.
  6. Calculate the estimate.
