Procedure
Note: The Mitchell Communications Manager installed along with UltraMate will require your Organization ID, Business ID (User ID), and Password.  If this information is not available, please contact the Mitchell Technical Assistance Center for this information.  UltraMate can be installed without credentials but credentials are required to configure Mitchell Communications Manager.

Install Ultramate Single-User via DVD  (for installs using MDM, refer to the section Install UltraMate Single-User via MDM)
  1. Insert the DVD into the DVD drive.  If the setup program does not start automatically, run autorun.exe from the DVD.
  2. On the Resource Guide dialog box, you can click links to product-related documents. (A PDF viewer is required.)  When ready to proceed, click Install Ultramate.
  • If prompted to install required items, click Install.  If prompted, click Allow.
  1. On the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
  2. On the License Agreement dialog box, read the agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next.
  3. On the Setup Type dialog box, select Single User.  (It may be selected by default)  Click Next.
  4. On the Company Information dialog box, if the field is blank, type the Company Name, then select the Company Type, Estimate Numbering Scheme, and Country. (Make sure the Estimate Numbering Scheme is correct for your installation.  Body Shop uses System Generated, Insurance Company uses Claim Number.) Click Next.
  5. On the Destination Drive dialog box, C: drive will be selected by default.   Click Next.
  6. On the Ready to Install the Program dialog box, click Install. The message Installing UltraMate appears, and Setup begins transferring files. If prompted, click Allow.  
  7. Canadian users skip to step 11.
  8. On the NADA Book Selection dialog box, select a Default NADA Book.  To make this the default for all profiles, click Set Default in all Profiles.  Click Done.
  9. On the UltraMate Setup Complete dialog box, both Install Mitchell Communications and Copy Services to the Hard Drive will be checked.  Leave the Copy Services to the Hard Drive check box selected. 
  10. Click Finish.  If prompted, click Continue.
  11. When services are flinished copying, click OK.
  12. Mitchell Communications Manager (MCM) installation begins. When it finishes, a Mitchell Communications icon appears in the system tray.  The ServiceMate window will also open.
  13. Leave the DVD in the drive and click Yes to begin copying services.
  14. Click OK when copying services is completed.
  15. To configure Mitchell Communications Manager, right-click the MCM icon in the Windows system tray and select Open Mitchell Communications.
  16. Enter the Organization ID, User ID, and Password obtained from Mitchell Support.  Click Test Login.  
  17. Click OK to restore MCM to the system tray.
  18. If the Mitchell Download Manager program is not already installed and Body Shop was selected during the install, MDM will silently install in the background.  When finished, an MDM icon will show in the system tray. 
Install UltraMate Single-User via MDM

Note: The Mitchell Download Manager will require your Organization ID, Business ID (User ID), and Password once it is installed.  If this information is not available, please contact the Mitchell Technical Assistance Center for this information.  Mitchell Download Manager can be installed without credentials but credentials are required to configure and download updates.
  1. To install MDM, refer to article How to Install and Configure MDM.  How to Install and Configure MDM
  2. Once MDM is installed and configured, it will begin downloading the most recent update.  This step may take several hours.
  3. When MDM is finished downloading, it will notice UltraMate is not installed and give the option to Install.  Click Install.
  4. On the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
  5. On the License Agreement dialog box, read the agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next.
  6. On the Setup Type dialog box, select Single User.  (It may be selected by default)  Click Next.
  7. On the Company Information dialog box, if the field is blank, type the Company Name, then select the Company Type, Estimate Numbering Scheme, and Country. (Make sure the Estimate Numbering Scheme is correct for your installation.  Body Shop uses System Generated, Insurance Company uses Claim Number.) Click Next.
  8. On the Destination Drive dialog box, C: drive will be selected by default.   Click Next.

  11. On the NADA Book Selection dialog box, select a Default NADA Book.  To make this the default for all profiles, click Set Default in all Profiles.  Click Done.
  12. On the UltraMate Setup Complete dialog box, Install Mitchell Communications will be checked.   If Copy Services to the Hard Drive is also checked, remove the check.
  13. Click Finish.  If prompted, click Continue.
  14. Mitchell Communications Manager (MCM) installation begins. When it finishes, a Mitchell Communications icon appears in the system tray. 
  15. To configure Mitchell Communications Manager, right-click the MCM icon in the Windows system tray and select Open Mitchell Communications.
  16. Enter the Organization ID, User ID, and Password obtained from Mitchell Support.  Click Test Login.  Note: Letters are entered in all UPPER CASE.
  17. Click OK at the Login was successful prompt.    If the Test Login fails, re-enter the credentials and test again.
  18. Click OK to restore MCM to the system tray.
