Cause
Configuration in the onboard memory does not have a valid network configuration and will fail to connect to the FastPhoto server.
Resolution

I - Restoring a camera configuration

  1. Put the battery and memory card into the camera
  2. Select MENU/OK
  3. Press Right Arrow two times to the EXP SET menu
  4. Press Down Arrow repeatedly until READ COMM SETTING is highlighted
  5. Press Right Arrow then select YES to overwrite
  6. Press OK to accept.
  7. A successful update will show COMPLETED. If this step fails, see below.
  8. Press MENU/OK to return to the main menu
  9. Turn camera off and back on and verify you are now able to connect and send photos

If the Update Fails

If a message "NO COMMUNICATIONS LIST IN CARD" occurs, repeat the above step using the SD memory card from another working camera if available.

If it is still not possible to execute READ COMM SETTINGS with a "COMPLETED" message, a USB cable will be needed to copy a file from a working camera to the un-configured camera.  Before this can work, the camera may need to be set to MASS STORAGE mode.  Follow the instructions below to set the camera to MASS STORAGE mode.

II - Set camera to MASS STORAGE

  1. Press MENU/OK
  2. Press the Right Arrow button to SETUP
  3. Press the Down Arrow button to USB CONNECTION
  4. Press Right Arrow and select MASS STR

III - Move a working camera's configuration file to a non-working camera

  1. With a working camera, remove the SD memory card
  2. Plug the camera into a PC with the USB cable
  3. Click Open Folder on the dialog that pops up (on some Windows, the folder will open automatically)
  4. Copy the SYSTEM.PRM from the working camera's SYSTEM folder to a folder on the PC
  5. Disconnect the working camera and replace its SD memory card
  6. With the non-working camera, remove the SD memory card
  7. Click Open Folder on the dialog that pops up (on some Windows, the folder will open automatically)
  8. Copy the SYSTEM.PRM file into the camera's SYSTEM folder
  9. Disconnect the camera from the PC
  10. Replace the camera's SD memory card
  11. Test by taking a photo and uploading

NoteWhen restoring the configuration file using a different camera's SYSTEM.PRM, it is advisable to update the IP address  on the camera. This is not critical, but if not done both cameras cannot send at the same time.
