SummaryMarkup or Discount Adjustment line shows at the bottom of the repair lines and equals the value of the PST tax when the shop is not taxing PST.
Symptoms
Markup or Discount Adjustment line shows at the bottom of the repair lines and equals the value of the PST tax when the shop is not taxing PST.
EnvironmentRepairCenter
Cause
An RO shows a Markup Adjustment line that equals the tax amount of the Paint & Body Materials value and a PST tax for the same amount.

There is a setting in the Audatex profile that needs to be disabled by un-checking the Tax on Materials and Tax on Betterment boxes.
NOTE: This should be disabled on all Audatex profiles
Resolution
The following steps are to be done in the Audatex Estimating System
  1. Log into Audatex
  2. On the left pane, click Setup
  3. On the new left pane, select Profile List
  4. Under the Profile Name list select the profile that is used to import to RepairCenter (Usually the name of the shop)
  5. Once in the selected profile, navigate to Rates on the left pane
  6. Click on Tax Rates
  7. This will display the tax rate settings
  8. Remove the check from the Tax on Materials and Tax on Betterment check box if one exists.
  9. Repeat steps 4-8 if there are other profiles used.
  10. Go back to the estimate itself and make the same changes to the profile there again (so it applies to this job as well, if not it will not affect the job in question).
  11. Re-save EMS and import into RepariCenter.
(Note: this should be done to any profile that is used to write estimates that are going to be transferred to RepairCenter)
See attached Audatex screen shot example.
