Vehicle Configuration System Error
VehicleConfigurationServiceException:

MethodName: DecodeVIN
Type:0; Message: The VIN you have entered is not valid. Please correct the VIN and try again, or select "VIN Not Available" to manually configure the vehicle.
EnvironmentWorkCenter Total Loss
Cause
One of two possible causes:
  • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) was entered incorrectly.
  • WorkCenter Total Loss doesn't recognize the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Resolution
  1. In the Valuation Request Worksheet, correct the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and click Decode VIN.
  2. If the error persists, select VIN Not Available and manually configure the vehicle.  The vehicle should be fully selected in the Valuation Request Worksheet.
Note: If the vehicle isn't listed when using VIN Not Available, then a Specialty Valuation should be created.
